How to remove dip nails
Wondering how to remove dip nails? You’ve come to the right place. Read on for a step-by-step guide on how to remove dip powder in a quick and easy way.
Before You Begin

Before you begin removing Powder Perfection by hand, wash and sanitize yours, and your client’s hands thoroughly.

Begin by using an EDGE 180 File to remove as many layers of Powder Perfection as possible, making sure you don’t make any contact with the natural nail. To avoid this, make sure you can always see some color.

Once the enhancement has been removed, dust off the residue.

Grab a Nail Wrap and fold the edge, then grab a Nail Wipe and fold it into quarters. Saturate both the pad, and folded nail wipe with Artificial Nail Remover. Place the wipe on the pad of the wrap and wrap each finger securely.

For added heat during the removal, place hands in Salon Mitts and cover them with a towel. Check nails after 10-15 minutes of soaking.

Pro Tip

There are two options for removers – Expert Touch Lacquer Remover or Artificial Nail Remover. If soaking with Lacquer Remover, check the nails after 20-25 minutes.

Using a twisting motion, unwrap each nail.

Then gently push off the Powder Perfection with a reusable cuticle stick, but if the product doesn’t remove easily, re-wrap the nail and soak for an additional 5 minutes.

Once all product has been removed, have the client wash his or her hands and then proceed with the desired service.
